Dr. Linda R. Barley to be Featured in Exclusive Registry
Linda Barley is a certified health education specialist with more than 40 years of teaching experience

JAMAICA, NY, May 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda R. Barley, Professor and Chair of the Charter Review Committee at York College / CUNY, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration and gerontology.

A seasoned education professional with more than 40 years of teaching experience, Dr. Barley holds two vital positions at York College / CUNY. In the role of professor of gerontology, she is in charge of research and curriculum programming. As the chair of the charter review committee, she works to revise the governance documents of her college.

Dr. Barley completed a Ph.D. in gerontology and health education from Teacher's College at Columbia University and a Master of Science in health sciences from Hunter College. She is a certified health education specialist and HIV/AIDS counselor, and belongs to the American Public Health Association, American Society on Aging, Society for Public Health Education, and PHANYC. Attributing her accomplishments to the support she received from her teacher, Mosaria Hoover, she looks forward to continued success. Her goals for the future are to complete her second book and develop the curriculum review process.
