Zamorano University Students Teach Energy Efficiency in India
Students from Zamorano University have implemented an energy efficiency campaign in Bihar, India, in a pioneering campaign targeting high school and college students from 30 Indian schools.

TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS, July 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Four students from leading Latin American University, Zamorano University, are putting their skills into action in India. The students have successfully implemented an energy efficiency campaign in Bihar in India's southeast teaching students about electricity preservation. More than 5000 high school and college students across 30 schools have participated in their pioneering program.

The Zamorano students are Yanira Loa Pech from Belize, Nivaro Centeno from Panama, Alberto Quintana from Mexica and Luis Huezo from El Salvador. They have teamed up with local environmental conservation organization, Tarumitra, to share their knowledge and skills.

"For more than three months we have sought to raise awareness to over 5000 students on the need to preserve as many watts of electricity possible," said Yanira Lao Pech. "I believe we have been very successful."
