Silva Michel, Educator, Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Silva Michel's love of chemistry led her to become a teacher of Ward Melville High School

EAST SETAUKET, NY, February 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Silva Michel Teacher for Ward Melville High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in college preparatory education.

Silva Michel has four years of experience as a teacher for Ward Melville High School. She is responsible for teaching chemistry honors to the SAT2 level, fully preparing students for tests, and preparing students for college. Ms. Michel started teaching at Cardozo High School 14 years ago, after a career in computer programming, mentoring and training. She is in her fourth year at Ward Melville and has also taught as an adjunct at Queensboro Community College. She attributes her success to her love of chemistry and teaching and always putting her heart into it.

Ms. Michel received her MBA in finance from Pace University, having received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from St. John's University. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Michel holds various computer programming certifications and is a member of NYSTA and AFT.
