Shelley Binegar Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Shelley Binegar, a leading professional, celebrates 10 years in the college sports industry


DEKALB, IL, July 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shelley Binegar, Assistant Director of Athletics for Northern Illinois University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of college sports.

As the assistant director of athletics at Northern Illinois University, Ms. Binegar is responsible for fundraising for the support of student athletes and marketing. She previously worked as the assistant athletics director and director of ticket operations at Florida Atlantic University, where she also served as the department's liaison for the Student-Athlete Mentor Program. The mentor program matches current student athletes with community members in areas of study and expertise. Ms. Binegar became involved in her profession because she was encouraged by her father and attributes her success to the support she receives from her mentors and passion for her profession.

In 1999, Ms. Binegar received her Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management in 1998 from Bowling Green State University and is a member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors.
