Communications Coach Comes to San Diego State University
Offering free workshop for the public
/College News News Articles/ - SAN DIEGO, CA, April 09, 2007 - April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and The Cross Cultural Center at San Diego State University wanted to add a captivating item to the event menu - a new workshop highlighting how people can move past obstacles and manifest more in their lives.
On April 10th at 12 noon, Jessi LaCosta, Communications and Personal Development Coach, comes to SDSU offering insight into how knowing your authentic self can improve your well-being. LaCosta, a sexual assault survivor and new resident to San Diego, believes that in coming to terms with her weaknesses and strengths, her values and her core ideas, she survived the assault and moved on to manifest a successful career and rich, full personal life.
An attendee from a previous branding workshop commented, "This workshop was about empowerment and identity. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Jessi LaCosta presented the material in an interactive and engaging manner. Personal branding is about the ability to manifest your inner self; your core values, beliefs, and visions through your communication with others in a variety of settings. [It] allows an individual to identify those qualities that are the essence of their character and serves as a tool to aid in bringing those assets to the forefront for others to see." Sheila Prados, University of Baltimore student
LaCosta brings the same concepts of authentic communications and self-awareness to the student body, staff and San Diego community during the April 10th workshop, Engage, Ignite, Empowered, Are You Ready?
What: Workshop in honor of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Engage, Ignite, Empowered - Are you Ready?

If you have ever heard that your inner wisdom and really "getting" who you are will yield amazing things - then you might also wonder how you come to "realize" that inner self. Join others for a workshop on exploring these concepts when Jessi LaCosta shares her journey from a sexual assault survivor to being a successful speaker and professional and personal development coach. She reveals how others can also move their lives forward by understanding their authentic core values: what motivates them, engages them and how to manifest all that for more success in their lives.
